New Walk Museum in Leicester was the unusual but stunning setting for Freya and Wayne’s wedding. I have lived in Leicester all of my life and visited the museum on many occasion and I had no idea that New Walk Museum even did weddings, so I was very excited when Freya and Wayne chose me to be their wedding photographer.
Plum Park Hotel in Northamptonshire was the stunning setting for Rachel and Rob’s spring wedding.
Rachel and Rob made it very clear that they wanted a very relaxed approach when it came to their wedding photography, which was absolutely fine by me as I was able to mingle in with the guests looking for interesting moments to photograph….
It was back in sunny August when I shot Chrissy and Adam’s stunning English wedding at Sutton Bonington Hall in Leicestershire.
It was the first time I had shot a wedding at this venue, which I always find exciting as it forces me to think on my feet when taking a shot, rather than having pre thought out ideas of how and where I will take the picture.

The day started off with Gail getting ready at a beautiful country farm house close to Bradgate Park in Leicester. The preparations were going very smoothly indeed and I decided to make my way to church to capture the bride’s arrival.
Being a documentary wedding photographer in Leicester, I am often asked when meeting potential clients about the number of wedding images they will receive after their wedding day. I’ve noticed over the years that this has become quite an important factor for couples when making their decision on which photographer to choose.
During 2012, I was a wedding photographer in Leicestershire at Prestwold Hall many times, and while writing this latest blog post it occurred to me that I can actually remember everything about each and every couple’s day. Emotional moments between the bride and groom, how nervous the bride was before the ceremony, the sad and funny parts of the speeches to certain guests that stood out in my mind. Some of these weddings I shot almost a year ago, so why do I remember so much about them?
Well there are times as documentary wedding photographers we turn up to the job, photograph the days events and think to ourselves at the end of it, “yep i’ve…
